How it Works

at Home in London specialises in arranging accommodation in private homes in central London locations, including Knightsbridge, Kensington, Mayfair, Chelsea and West London.

In good residential areas, close to public transport, the homes have been carefully chosen and are regularly inspected. Tourists, solo travellers, as well as business people, can all enjoy the comfort and special welcome afforded by staying in a private home. Guests have their own house-key and may come and go as they please.

Most homes offer private or en suite bathrooms, additionally a few shared bathrooms are available at a reduced rate.

Home owners, all of whom are known to us, include lawyers, teachers, architects, designers and writers. From our database of over 80 homes we can suggest homes to meet your requirements and interests.

Reserving Accommodation

Minimum Stay

is for two consecutive nights.

Reservation Fee

When booking accommodation, guests are asked to pay a non-refundable reservation/agency fee to at Home in London. This varies according to room type and length of stay and is clearly set out on our accommodation offer. It is included in the nightly or weekly rate.

Prices

Our prices remain the same throughout the year with no seasonal increases. Rates are increased annually on 1 January.

Cancellation

The reservation fee is not refundable, but we can arrange a new reservation at no extra cost provided the cancellation is made a minimum of two weeks before arrival.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out full travel insurance.

Methods of Payment: Reservations

Payment may be made by credit/debit card (Mastercard and Visa), sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank or by bankers’ draft, adding the equivalent of £12.00 sterling for bank charges.

Paying the Balance

The balance of payment is made in sterling cash to your hosts within 24 hours of your arrival. Alternatively you may pay the total fee to at Home in London by credit card. In this case an additional charge of 4% will apply.

Arrival and Departure

Times of arrival and departure are flexible and should be arranged with at Home in London or your host. It is important that we know your arrival time so that your host may plan to be at home.
