RECENT GUEST COMMENTS

Our stay at this home was a perfect location for us!  It was 4-5 minutes to walk to our son and daughter-in-law’s flat and a 2-3 minute walk to the Royal Oak Underground.  We visited multiple museums and other venues from this convenient Underground station.  The neighborhood is quiet and lovely for walks

After greeting my husband and me and giving us “how-to” instructions, the hosts left the next morning for a trip to Argentina, but made sure the kitchen was well-provisioned with yogurt, fruit, breads and scones in addition to coffee and teas.  Breakfast time was pleasant at a large table off the kitchen.  French doors out to the garden allowed plenty of light.  Ana is their helper and she also kept things provisioned while they were away.

Ana irons the sheets, which was a nice touch.   Our bedroom was on the third floor (and helped us get even more exercise).  While our private bathroom was not ensuite, it was right next door.  Our room faced the garden, but even the bedroom facing the street would most likely have quiet sleep because the neighborhood is on a side street and we heard no traffic noise.  There was no doubt that the smoke alarm worked properly and was LOUD!  We set it off when the toaster burned some bread!

We had a wonderful time in London and our lodging choice was part of the experience.  Karen, USA, September 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Victoria & her family. She and her husband made me feel like I had stepped into a cousin’s home. It was raining when I arrived and Victoria and her husband promptly whisked me upstairs to a cozy inviting room with windows that looked out onto the tree lined street. The bathroom, clean and quite pretty, was right beside my room and for my private use. I was able to settle in as I would at any hotel/bed and breakfast. The bedroom was well appointed and had books, chosen by the author hostess, lining the shelves.

Breakfast was filling with fresh fruit, cereals, toast, jams, juice, and coffee and tea. The host and hostess were a delight to talk to each morning. I especially enjoyed my conversations with Victoria about writing (and dragons). During my longer stay a couple of new faces popped up from France and Norway (I believe), polite and quiet; we all came and went as we pleased. The neighbourhood was wonderful to get around in (even with my propensity at getting lost; worried for me, helped me map out my next destination: Paris). The home is close by the tube, and within walking distance of shops and pubs. I really enjoyed rolling out on a lazy Sunday to walk only a few blocks to Portobello Market.  I highly recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone.  Brenda, Canada, May 2014

This was our first B&B experience and it was excellent. The house is well located, it is very clean and the room and the bathroom are nicely equipped. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.  They gave us all the information we requested and more. We really enjoyed talking to them.  Rahel and Alberto, USA, September 2013

I just wanted to tell you that we have really enjoyed our holiday, thanks to the house that’s beautiful, always clean and great food. It is actually in a very convenient position to join, also at feet, important places, like Kensington, Nothing Hill, Portobello and even Paddington Station. The same Westbourne Park Road is very pleasant to walk on Saturday evening because it is quiet but at the same time is plenty of young people and locals for them. Royal Oak underground station is very near from the house and it allows you to join easily the centre of town and any other place. Our hosts were very kind, we heartily thank them and also you.  Hoping to hear you soon for our next holiday in London. Michela & Felice, Italy, June 2013

We have just returned from a holiday during which we stayed at Westbourne Park Road W2. I wanted to offer positive feedback. Victoria was a very welcoming hostess. The house and accommodation was clean and pleasant. We will certainly use At Home in London next time we travel, the last few times have been very good. Janet, Australia

Back home after a wonderful time in London.  I cannot recommend the this home highly enough. The hosts are delightful and made me feel very welcome in their lovely home.  They will be my first choice for future London accommodation.  Yours is a great service. Keep up the good work. Lou, Australia

The host provided a great service and she was accommodating and because she spoke European languages was able to converse easily with my friend, who I met in London. I believe this way of staying in London is much more beneficial than a hotel. You get the history, the shortcuts, the local knowledge, the best places to see /eat. I shall certainly recommend the site.  Sue, UK
